PAPAR: Police are still investigating the case where the daughter of the Lahad Datu police chief accidentally shot herself using her father's pistol.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jauteh Dikun said: "There has been no decision on this case.

"However, investigations are being conducted on the police chief because he owns the pistol in question."

Jauteh was met at a Hari Raya celebration here.

It was reported that the 14-year-old daughter had died after accidentally shooting herself with her father's pistol at their home in Taman Tabanak, Lahad Datu, on April 16.
