KOTA BARU: Police today obtained a seven-day remand order against the suspect involved in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) shooting incident on Sunday.

The remand order was obtained at the Kota Baru magistrates court this morning before magistrate Rais Imran Hamid.

The remand order was obtained under Section 117 of Criminal Procedure Code, and ends on Apr 22.

Earlier, the 38-year-old suspect, heavily escorted by several policemen, arrived at the court complex in Tunjong at about 8.40am.

It was reported yesterday that the suspect, Hafizul Harawi, was arrested in Kota Baru.

In the 1.30am incident in Sunday, a man fired two shots, one of which hit his wife's bodyguard.

The victim is currently being treated at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
