KOTA BARU: Police are expected to obtain a remand order against the 38-year-old suspect involved in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) shooting incident tomorrow.

Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, the director of the Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID), said the suspect would be taken to the Kota Baru court in the morning.

"The suspect is in good health, and we are still interrogating him. Let us complete the process first. We will gather the necessary information and share it with the media tomorrow," he briefly told reporters at the state police headquarters office here today.

It was reported earlier today that the suspect, Hafizul Hawari, was arrested in Kota Baru.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed the incident, stating that the suspect was apprehended at a location in Kota Baru around 3pm.

In the incident at 1.30am yesterday, a man fired two shots, one of which struck his wife's bodyguard. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.
