RAUB: Raub police are currently tracking down road users who made illegal u-turns on the Lingkaran Tengah Utama (LTU) expressway in a recent viral video.
Raub district police chief, Superintendent Mohd Shahril Abdul Rahman police had identified a video on social media showing an incident believed to have occurred in the Raub district, namely on the LTU on April 5 between 2pm and 4pm.
"Both video clips showed footage of road users making u-turns on the road and driving against traffic to avoid congestion.
"The actions of the drivers have attracted negative comments and condemnation from the public," he said.
He said the complainant believed that the actions of the driver in the video had caused distress and danger to other road users.
Mohd Shahril said initial investigations failed to confirm the registration number of the vehicle owner in the video.
However, he said, after observing the video, several vehicles were identified following checks through the JPJ's Mysikap to assist in the investigation.
"All other vehicles involved in the video, including the owner of the video, are being tracked for further action," he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 13(1) LN166/59.
