IPOH: A woman was found dead in a locked vehicle at a parking lot near the Specialist Clinic of Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun here today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) assistant director (Operations), Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, said firemen from the Ipoh Fire Station rushed to the scene of the incident as soon as they received the distress call at 6.07pm.
"As soon as the firemen arrived at the scene, there was a victim who was found to be locked in a Toyota Camry.
"Firemen utilised specialised tools and equipment to open the car door, and the 20-year-old victim was treated on the scene, but she was pronounced dead.
"The victim's body was handed over to the police for further action," he said while informing that the operation ended at 6.53pm.
Based on initial findings, the woman was found in the back seat lying down on a pillow.
