SUNGAI BULOH: Nadia Fasha Qistina, the victim of the acid attack in Denai Alam, has always maintained a private lifestyle, refraining from sharing details relating to her workplace and daily activities on social media.

When questioned by Harian Metro about whether the perpetrator was aware of her whereabouts and routine, Nadia responded with a simple shake of her head.

Nadia who suffered 70 per cent burns on her face, hands, and legs is still undergoing treatment at Sungai Buloh Hospital (HSB), requiring close monitoring by the hospital staff, but reportedly in a stable condition.

The eldest child of Azman Shah Mohammad and Noraini Abdul Hamid was attacked on her way home from work at a clinic in Denai Alam on Nov 8.

Nadia, who had only worked at the clinic for six days before the incident, is described as a person who is not active on social media, preferring to spend time with her family.

"I find it strange that there's someone who seems to have planned to harm my daughter. They were seen waiting and following my daughter as soon as she returned from work before splashing acid towards her.

"I don't understand why my daughter became a target. If they were not happy with me or my husband, why target my daughter, and how did they know her workplace?

"Our family is living in fear now. I'm constantly at the hospital worrying about my daughter's safety, while my husband helps take care of our other two children," she said.

Noraini added that she has not been running her business for almost two months and relies on her husband's income as a burger seller to cover daily expenses and Nadia's treatment costs.

Apart from focusing on caring for Nadia, her current concern is the family's financial strain in covering her daughter's medical expenses.

"I only wish for Nadia to recover as she was before. When I saw her fighting for her life, I was devastated and didn't want her to leave.

"Every night before bed, I hope that when I wake up, it was all just a dream. But unfortunately, it isn't," she said.

Yesterday, the police recorded statements from 12 individuals to assist in the investigation of a teenage girl who was injured in an acid attack in the Denai Alam area on Nov 8.

Shah Alam district deputy police chief, Superintendent Ramsay Embol, said the investigation is still ongoing to identify the suspect.
