KLANG: The foreign man arrested in connection with the discovery of a woman's body encased in cement in a rented house in Kampung Pendamar, Pandamaran has been remanded for seven days.

The remand order until next Monday was granted by Magistrate Amirul Asyraf Abd Rasid after the police's request at the Magistrate's Court here today.

Earlier, the 53-year-old suspect arrived at the courthouse at 9.47am accompanied by police officers.

The remand period is to aid the investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

Earlier, it was reported that police conducted an investigation after receiving a report from the owner of the house regarding the discovery of a body buried in cement in a bathroom of the rented house.

The woman's body was found after the fire department took over two hours to break the concrete before successfully extracting the victim.

The police have so far detained one man and are tracking two more suspects to assist in the investigation.

The two individuals are known as Ranjit Singh and Mandeep Singh, identified as tenants of the house and believed to be involved in the case.

The woman's body has been sent to Shah Alam Hospital for a post-mortem examination scheduled for tomorrow.
