KUALA LUMPUR: Another government member of parliament has launched a lawsuit against Pas lawmaker Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad for allegedly making derogatory remarks about the DAP during an election campaign in Terengganu.

Teresa Kok (PH-Seputeh) today said she had issued a letter of demand on Nov 10, requesting Siti Mastura to retract and apologise for the remarks made against DAP.

However, Kok said she did not receive any response from the Pas lawmaker and instructed her lawyer to proceed with legal action.

"I have sent a letter of demand and given her three days to retract her statement. However, I have not received any apology letter for the statement made.

"Hence, I have requested my lawyer to file legal action against her," she said in a press conference in parliament, today.

On Nov 10, DAP national chairman Lim Guan Eng initiated legal action against Siti Mastura in response to her allegations regarding the ties between several DAP leaders with Chin Peng and Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew.

On Nov 14, Siti Mastura was summoned to Bukit Aman to give her statement regarding the alleged defamatory remark made against DAP.
