KUALA LUMPUR: Ratu Naga @ Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, a TikTok content creator for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, has been summoned by police for her alleged involvement in disseminating defamatory content against Bandar Tun Razak member of Parliament, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

Confirming the matter, Syarul Ema said she was contacted by the Classified Crime Investigation Unit (USJT) and requested to appear at Bukit Aman today.

This development follows a police report filed by a member of PKR on an Instagram account @ratunaga which is said to have posted defamatory post about Dr Wan Azizah, who is the prime minister's wife.

The report claimed that Ratu Naga had shared a post from Instagram account @b.netanyahu, which uploaded images featuring the wives of leaders attending the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), including one that appeared to look like Dr Wan Azizah, seen having evening tea with the wives of US President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"I will be accompanied by my lawyer, Zaid Malek, for the statement recording," Syarul Ema said today.

Earlier, police reports were lodged against three social media users for allegedly uploading posts that contained defamatory content against Dr Wan Azizah.

The report was filed by Bandar Tun Razak PKR branch Women's Chief, Jamilah Syed Mohamed, at the Cheras district police headquarters.

The three social media users had uploaded edited images and videos of Dr Wan Azizah from the Instagram account of the Israeli Prime Minister, which were taken during the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 21.
