AMPANG: A woman was stabbed by her former boyfriend who escaped from the scene at a condominium in Bukit Antarabangsa here after he refused to end their relationship, on Saturday.

The victim, who wanted to be known as Sharifah, 46, said that the man came to the parking lot of her condominium in the 2.30am incident.

He tried to smash the windshield of the driver's side of her car using a knife and when unsuccessful, punctured the tires.

"He then used a fire extinguisher near the lift and smashed the front windshield. I managed to call the police for help," she said when contacted today.

As she was panicking from the attack, she ran out of her car and was chased down by the man who later pulled her clothes before stabbing her torso and arms.

The man reportedly escaped after attacking her.

A passer-by who saw her, took her to the security post before she was rushed to Ampang Hospital for treatment.

"I was told that I sustained five stabs on my stomach, arms and hands with one of the stabs injuring my liver," said the victim who is still receiving treatment at the hospital.

She said that she got to know the 41-year-old man through a dating application three months ago but wanted to end their relationship as he was known to be a hot-tempered person.

The last time they had a serious disagreement was back in July 26 on a trivial issue, and she decided to end the relationship. He then tried to win her back, but she rejected his attempts.

"He accused me of cheating, when I am in touch with by ex-husband and he kept on appearing at other places after our argument," she said.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail confimed receiving a report pertaining to the incident and have identified the man.

"We are in the midst of locating the man," he said adding that the case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code.
