KUALA LUMPUR: A 30-year-old graphic designer and disc jockey was charged at the magistrate's court here with causing the death of his girlfriend.
Sean Edward Kenneth Quinn only nodded and said "understood" when the charge was read out to him before magistrate Nurul Izzah Shaharuddin today.
No plea was entered as murder cases are tried at the High Court.
He was accused of causing the death of Nurin Najmina Mohd Radzuan, 24, on July 12 at Desa Kiara Condominium about 3am.
The charge was framed under Section 302, which carries the death penalty upon conviction.
He was represented by lawyer Vivek Sukumaran, while the prosecution was handled by Sareeka Balakrishnan.
The court fixed Sept 25 for case mention.
