TASEK GELUGOR: A Standard Six pupil was among three arrested after turning Jalan Tok Keramat in Padang Tembak as their racing circuit.

In Ops Samseng Jalanan held at 6.30pm yesterday, police from the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) detected three teenagers dangerously riding two motorcycles.

Seberang Prai Utara district police chief Assistant Commissioner Noorzainy Mohd Noor said the Standard Six pupil was a pillion rider of a motorcycle, ridden by a 13-year-old teenager. Another 13-year-old rode the other motorcycle.

"The trio was suspected to be performing dangerous wheelie stunts from Jalan Titi Keramat towards Taman Cempedak.

"All three were detained for further action," he said in a statement today.

The case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous driving.

Noorzainy also reminded parents to always monitor their children's whereabouts and must not allow their children to ride motorcycles without a licence.
