KUALA LUMPUR: Morning traffic along Jalan Bangsar this morning was slow-moving, and it wasn't the usual peak hour crawl.

Traffic was backlogged from the KL Sentral exit following the closure of Jalan Bangsar due to the discovery of a dead body in the middle of the road.

Cops believe the victim was murdered but investigations are still ongoing.

The City Hall (DBKL) via its traffic information Twitter account @ITIS_TRAFIK informed road users of the closure at 7.20am today.

A traffic cam image was shared, showing the dead body covered in white cloth in the middle of the road.

Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur CID chief Senior Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid confirmed the forensics team were investigating the case at the scene.

"Investigation is ongoing and we will inform of any further developments later," he told Berita Harian when contacted.
