AYER HITAM: A Johor Military Force (JMF) officer cheated death when he met an accident while driving his car at Km 90.9 of the North-South Expressway.

In the 9.45am incident, Muhammad Amirul Asyraf Mohd Johar, 22, of the Sultan Ibrahim camp was believed to have lost control of his Perodua Myvi and skidded along the road divider.

The front of the car was severely damaged, especially near the driving seat.

Fortunately, Amirul only suffered a broken leg and was rushed to Muar hospita,

Ayer Hitam Fire and Rescue Department officer Isyadi Dani said the victim’s body was extricated from the damaged car and sent to hospital by a Plus highway emergency unit.

He said Amirul, whose father was an officer at the Muar Fire and Rescue Department, was believed to be heading to Johor Baru from Muar.
