SEREMBAN: A technician was detained after police found six compressed marijuana during a raid at a house in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, yesterday.

Negri Sembilan deputy police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the 27-year-old man was detained in a special operation at 8.30am following a series of drug-related arrests in the state.

"During the raid, we found six compressed drugs believed to be marijuana weighing six kilograms worth estimated at RM15,000.

"The drug is believed to be marketed in the state after being repacked into smaller packages.

"We also seized a vehicle and cash totaling RM35,000," he said during a press conference at Negri Sembilan police contingent headquarters here today.

Muhamad Zaki said the suspect who worked as a technician in a private company had no criminal record.

He said the suspect was being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 for drug trafficking.
