PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigation director Datuk Azam Baki, 53, has been appointed the new Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operation) effective today.

In a statement, MACC said Azam is replacing former Deputy Chief Commissioner Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull, who reached his official mandatory retirement on Oct 3.

MACC also said Community Education division director Datuk Shamshun Baharin Mohd Jamil, 55, has been appointed the new MACC Deputy Chief Commissioner (Prevention), also effective today.

Shamshun is replacing Datuk Seri Mustafar Ali, who has been posted to the Immigration Department.

Both Azam and Shamshun were helming the positions as acting Deputy Chief Commissioners.
