KUALA LUMPUR: Acer today unveiled its latest product line-up for Malaysia.
The line-up features innovative technologies such as the fanless Acer LiquidLoop cooling technology, and Acer nano-imprint patterning in a range of laptops as well as a desktop monitor.
Acer Sales & Services Sdn Bhd Director of Products, Sales and Marketing, Chan Weng Hong said, "We are constantly innovating our products and designs in our transformation to become a hardware, software and services company. The launch of this latest product line-up is part of Acer's effort to energise and accelerate this transformation."
Also present was Microsoft Malaysia's Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, Michal Golebiewski who believes that Acer is on track with its innovative products.
"In our mobile-first, cloud-first world, our industry no longer respects tradition, it only respects innovation. Powered by Windows 10, we believe that our familiar and intuitive operating system, together with Acer's state-of-the-art devices will only continue to enhance and better user experiences. We look forward to more offering that Acer will bring to the market in the near future," he said.
Industry's first
Top of the range is the highly anticipated and much talked about Switch Alpha 12, the industry's first fanless 2-in-1 laptop with a 6th Generation Intel Core i7, Core i5 or Core i3 processor.
The Switch Alpha 12 is a convertible 2-in-1 laptop. This product brings Acer's series to a new level of innovation with its proprietary liquid cooling technology – the Acer LiquidLoop – that allows for silent and reliable operation, efficient performance and stability with all-day 8-hour battery life.
It boasts a fanless design, ultra-thin attachable keyboard and the latest in mobile computing performance via the new 6th Generation Intel Core processors. The multi-position kickstand (that enables it to be opened up to 165 degrees), attachable keyboard, and Acer Active Pen enable the device to be flexible as both a Windows 10 laptop and as a tablet with full PC functionality - making it the ideal for use on the go. It also has a vibrant 12-inch touch display with an impressive 2160 x 1440 resolution.
The slim, lightweight Switch Alpha 12 will be available in Malaysia at a starting price of RM2,499 starting next week.
Innovative range of products
The other products that were launched were the Aspire S 13 ultra-thin and light laptop; the Aspire R 15 360° convertible laptop, the Aspire E & F Series of stylish everyday computing laptops and the Acer R1 6.6mm ultra-thin monitor with ZeroFrame bezel.
All the products launched are equipped with Acer's innovative features such as 6th Generation Intel Core processors, USB 3.1 Type-C reversible port that supports ultra-fast transfer of data, integrated multi-user MIMO and fast DDR4 for faster wireless Internet connection. The Acer range of products are also equipped with Acer TrueHarmony speaker, Acer Exacolour display screen, and Skype for Business Certification, that allows for a seamless and clear Skype experience.
Attractive prices
The Aspire S 13 is available at major retailers at a starting price of RM2,799, while the Aspire F15 has a starting price of RM2,699. The Aspire E14's starting price is RM2,199 and the E15 is RM2,399. The Aspire R 15 retails at RM2,999.
