GEORGE TOWN : All schools in Perlis will be closed tomorrow and Friday while schools in Kedah will be closed tomorrow due to extreme hot weather, said Education Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid today.
He said there is a need for the school closures due to the worsening heat wave that has reached 38.2 Celsius.
"The temperature in Kedah and Perlis has increased since Monday.
"Today is the worst with a reading recorded at 38.2 celsius," he said at the State Education Office today.
