GEORGE TOWN: "Repeat the allegation over my alleged wrongdoing over the bungalow purchase in public, and I'll sue", Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said today.

Lim issued the challenge to Tasek Gelugor Member of Parliament Datuk Shabudin Yahaya, after the latter had accused him of using questionable ways to buy his RM2.8 million bungalow last year.

"Can he repeat the allegations in public?

"That way I can sue him for defamation. We all know that what was uttered at parliament cannot (be grounds) to be sued," he said at a press conference today.

It was reported that Shabudin had questioned Lim over the sale of a plot of state government-owned land and the purchase of a multi-million ringgit piece of property in George Town, at a recent Parliament sitting.
