KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Property last week unveiled its plans to nurture and foster a vibrant community in Iskandar Malaysia through its township named Sunway Iskandar, which has a gross development value of over RM30 billion.

Comprising six different precincts — The Capital, The Parkview, The Lakeview, The Riverside, The Seafront, and The Marketplace — Sunway Iskandar will span across 720ha in Iskandar Malaysia.

The Lakeview in Medini is the first phase of the Sunway Iskandar township.

Modelled after the successful Sunway Resort City, each precinct will be designed to reflect a self-sustaining integrated city with convenient amenities.

According to Sunway Property, Sunway Iskandar, with its tagline, “Nature’s Capital City”, is inspired by the beauty of nature and the sophistication of a modern city.

“As a master community developer, Sunway applies its ‘Build, Own, and Manage’ philosophy in Sunway Iskandar to ensure continued enhancement of the city in
tandem with its communities’ growth.

“Sunway Iskandar will be the first township in Iskandar to launch five important components — retail shops, office units, serviced apartments, a theme park and an international school — in the first year of its first phase.

“Other facilities such as the petrol stations, ultra-high-speed broadband and the security units will be integrated for the safety and convenience of the residents,” the company said in a statement.

Strategically located to connect seamlessly with major highways, it will only take five minutes from Sunway Iskandar to reach the Second Link via the proposed Southern Access, as well as major attractions like Legoland Malaysia, Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios and EduCity.

Sunway Property is also planning to open Sunway International School (SIS) in 2017 with a student capacity of 600 in the first intake.

It said SIS is the only international school in Malaysia to offer the Canadian (Ontario) curriculum, which is one of the world’s best school systems for primary and secondary education.
