KUALA LUMPUR: Reverend Peter Young of St. Paul’s Church in Petaling Jaya died of old age early Saturday morning. He was 88.

The man was known for his selfless contribution to the needy and served as the first executive director of dignity and services of Malaysia Care.

The organisation, which is a a registered advocacy group, was founded by the late Young to promote and champion the plight of people with learning disabilities through his various books, writings and messages.

His life and work was devoted for the betterment of the marginalised.

Young is survived by daughter, Joanna Ferris, 49, who said: “My father was a god-fearing man.

“He had a big heart and gave everything to help others who are marginalised and underprivileged.

“He also possessed a keen sense of hum-
our. He will surely be missed,” she said yesterday.

The wake will be held on July 2 at 8pm, followed by the funeral ceremony the next day at 10.30am at the church.
