GEORGE TOWN: A popular comic character Son Goku of the famed Japanese manga series Dragon Ball pounded the tarmac together with some 60,000 runners at the Penang Bridge International Marathon 2014 earlier today.
The man made many heads turn as he took part in the 21km half marathon.
Besides Son Goku, well-known characters such as Captain America and Harry Potter were also spotted going full swing.
This year, the marathon was conducted at the new Jambatan Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.
The full marathon category was dominated by the Kenyan runners who swept all top three medals in the male and female categories.
There were five categories contested: full marathon at 42km, half marathon (21km), open category (10km), Junior (10km) and Fun Run (7km).
