GEORGE TOWN: THIRTY orphans from Rumah Permata Kasih Permatang Pauh had a fun time breaking fast with the employees of Rapid Penang.

The event was held at the company depot in Lorong Kulit, here, recently.

The young guests also each received duit raya of RM50 and souvenirs from their host.

Rapid Penang also presented the widows of two former employees with RM500 and a Raya hamper each.

Zarina Mat Lazim was the wife of the late Rosli Darus and Siti Zabedah Ahmad, the wife of the late Shaikh Mohammad Radzi A’Dawi Shaik Adbul Hamid.

Syarikat Prasarana Negara Bhd group managing director Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar said the bus company was glad to be able to do its bit to help those in need.

“We are glad of the opportunity to share with the orphans as well as offer some support to the bereaved families of former staff,” he said.

A Ramadan buffet spread was served at the event.
