JOHOR BARU: The CK United Club in Taman Ungku Tun Aminah here will join hands with the TJ Court in Saleng, Kulai, to organise a charity concert at TJ Court on Saturday.

Singapore artiste Marcus Chen Jian Bin will be the master of ceremony. More than 10 local singers will sing for charity during the concert aimed at raising RM40,000.

CK United Club chairman Chong Heng said the proceeds will be used to fund the club's activities which are basically to provide dialysis treatment for 26 renal patients.

He said the club's monthly expenditure amounts to over RM10,000.

"The only way to keep the club financially afloat is to organise fundraising activities such as concerts regularly.

"The stage design was handled by a Singaporean company. We promise to deliver the best visual and audio effects during the concert," he said.

Chong said the money will be raised through the sale of ribbons for singers and via lottery tickets. Donation boxes will also be made available.

"There will also be lucky draws during the concert with two branded smartphones to be given away."

Meanwhile, TJ Court representative Shanny Lock said the food court had donated RM6,000 for the club's activities and urged others to lend a helping hand to the worthy cause.
