PUTRAJAYA: The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Hajah Haminah today called on members of the Malaysian Girl Guides Association to always protect the country's good name and reputation.
She said in whatever events they represented the country, be it in design, innovation or arts and culture, they should always display high level of sportsmanship.
"I will always encourage and support members of the Girl Guides Association to strive for excellence up to the international level," she said when opening the annual general meeting of the association here today.
Also present were Raja Puan Muda of Perak Raja Nor Mahani Raja Shahar Shah, who is also the association's deputy president.
Tuanku Hajah Haminah also reminded the members to maintain their recipe for success, which includes by being optimistic, having mutual respect among themselves and strong spirit of volunteerism. -- BERNAMA
