KUALA LUMPUR: As the country gears up for the World Cup in Brazil, many football fans have started planning their work schedule during the tournament period.

Some fans are willing to pull an all nighter, before heading for work and watching the matches in the office.

The matches are expected to take place at midnight, 3am, 6am and 9am.

England supporter Julian Tee said he will be stocking up on energy drinks to watch the matches.

"Since the matches will be played in the wee hours of the morning, I will need all the energy to watch my favourite team in action," he said, adding that he would be applying for leave for the semi-finals and final matches.

A public relations executive, who wanted to be known as Wong said: "I can stream the morning matches from my office, so I won't need to take any days off.

"I have only applied for leave to watch the final match."

Germany fan Mohamed Farid Othman said he prefers to watch the game at home.

"It is much more relaxing to watch the game at home and I don't like crowded places," he said.
