GEORGE TOWN: Penang Gerakan Youth today lodged a police report over the circulation of alleged intimate photographs of two DAP politicians.
Its legal and public complaints bureau chief Jason Loo said Penang Gerakan Youth was very disappointed with the circulation of the alleged photographs of Member of Parliament for Bukit Bendera Zairil Khir Johari and Teluk Intan by-election candidate Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud.
"We condemn such actions.
"We are very disappointed that some quarters had resorted to dirty tactics. This is gutter politics," he told reporters after lodging the report at the Northeast District police headquarters in Jalan Patani.
He said the police and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission should investigate the matter fast and charge those responsible for posting the photographs, which were probably doctored.
Several photographs on two individuals resembling Zairil and Dyana Sofya posing intimately have gone viral on the social network, including Facebook, since Oct 18.
