BUTTERWORTH: Nasmir Holding Sdn Bhd donated RM80,000 to relieve flood evacuees.

Its managing director Datuk Khadar Shah Abdul Razak said at least 800 hampers were sent to the flood-hit areas comprising food and necessity items.

"The items sent are biscuits, bread and mineral water. There are also daily needs including blankets, prayer rugs, clothes, baby diapers and toiletries," he said when met at Nasmir Hotel here.

Khadar Shah led a group of 30 volunteers aboard three lorries to Kelantan to distribute the aid to Kuala Krai and Gua Musang in Kelantan.

He said the organization had identified the needy.

"Items are distributed directly to the displaced families," he said

Khadar Shah said the organization would send volunteers to help displaced residents to clean up the mess at houses and schools Jan 15.
