SEPANG: Family members of at least three passengers on board Malaysia Airlines (MAS) MH17 flight which crashed near Donestk in the Southern Ukraine, have started to gather at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here to check on the fate of their loved ones.

The families went straight to Anjung Tinjau at KLIA and spoke to several policemen and MAS staff to get the latest development on the tragedy.

Efforts to get feedbacks from the families proved futile when they politely asked members of the media to respect their privacy.

"Please respect out privacy," a man, in his 50s, believed to be a relative of a passenger on board the ill-fated aircraft.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is expected to hold a press conference at Sama-Sama Hotel nearby KLIA at about 4am.
