SHAH ALAM: A former human resource director of a medical supplies supplier company was charged at the Sessions Court here with agreeing to accept RM170,000 in bribes last month.

C.R Khrishan Kumar, 53, of Teleflex Medical Sdn Bhd claimed trial to accepting the amount from director of Nada Persada Sdn Bhd, Ng Lay Leng as an inducement to maintain it's contract for the supply of foreign labour to his company.

He allegedly committed the offence at Caffe Cino, Hilton Hotel in Petaling Jaya about 8pm on Oct 21.

Judge Selamat Yahya granted RM30,000 bail with one surety and ordered for the accused to surrender his passport to the court.

He also ordered for the accused to report to the police station each month and fixed Dec 17 for mention.

Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) deputy public prosecutor Mohammed Heikal Ismail prosecuted while Khrishan was represented by counsel Muhammad Adhwa' Azfal Tajuddin.
