PUTRAJAYA: The magistrate’s court yesterday extended the remand order of four suspects involved in the murder of Royal Customs Department deputy director-general Datuk Shaharuddin Ibrahim in April last year.

Two lorry drivers, aged 31 and 32, an electrician, 35, and a college student, 21, were remanded for another six days beginning yesterday.

Magistrate Mohamad Zaki Abd Rahman allowed police to remand the suspects to assist in investigations.

Investigating officer Deputy Superintendent Hamzah Buman said the suspects were detained by police on July 2.

It was reported that Shaharuddin was shot dead by two men on a motorcycle while on his way to
work here at 8.15am on April 26 last year.
