KUALA LUMPUR: Pan Pacific Hotels Group has signed a management agreement with Gagasan Langkawi Sdn Bhd to open the 262-room ParkRoyal Langkawi Resort in 2017.
An archipelago of some 100 islands off the west coast of Malaysia, Langkawi is one of the country’s best-known and most popular beach destinations — blending historical attractions, great cuisine, excellent diving opportunities with buzzing nightlife.
For its stunning geological parks and landscapes, Langkawi has also been awarded the Unesco World Geopark status.
The island saw over three million tourist arrivals last year and is expected to hit the four-million mark this year.
Featuring 253 rooms and nine villas, ParkRoyal Langkawi Resort will enjoy a prime beachfront location at Pantai Tengah Beach, the longest and most popular stretch of beach in Langkawi, Pan Pacific said in a statement last week.
Within the resort, guests will be able to indulge in its extensive range of facilities including an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, beach bar, spa, gymnasium, family lounge, ballroom, meeting rooms and outdoor swimming pools.
In Malaysia, Pan Pacific Hotels Group owns and/or manages three other ParkRoyal properties — namely ParkRoyal Kuala Lumpur, ParkRoyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur and ParkRoyal Penang Resort.
