Boasting a remarkable hinge design, the display can be set between zero and 360 degrees. The versatility of Flip cannot be stated enough. It functions as a powerful laptop, responsive tablet or anything in between. It runs on Intel Core processors (up to i7), handling up to NVIDIA GeForce GT840M for seamless multitasking and outstanding performance on the move.

Choose from several screen sizes — 13.3 inches, 14.0 inches and 15.6 inches. Regardless of the size, your eyes will be able to enjoy up to Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and the screen can be rotated freely from a fully-closed position.

A quartet of gears located in the hinge allow smooth, effortless adjustment. Thanks to its compact aluminum chassis, the Asus Transformer Book Flip has the necessary strength, durability and elegance to be a portable device of the highest quality.

WEARABLE FITNESS TRACKER

THE world of wearable technology is slowly but surely making its mark. Hardware manufacturers are jumping in for a slice of this growing pie.

Acer Liquid Leap is the very first wearable device that will pair with its curved Liquid Jade smartphone. It also happens to be the smallest touch device by Acer at the moment, where it has a 2.5cm touchscreen nestled within a durable rubber wristband to deliver a comfortable experience. The Leap can keep track of fitness levels, including the number of steps taken, running distance, calories burnt and sleeping cycle. Not only that but being turned on round the clock also means you won’t miss out on any incoming calls or text messages, while the music control function itself allows users to access the music library on the smartphone, with the ability to detect favourite tunes. With up to seven days of battery life, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and waterproof IPX7 capability, it comes in Moonstone White, Mineral Black, Aquamarine, Fragrant Pink and Vivid Orange. Expect it to be available end of this year.

BIG SCREEN PHABLET

SAMSUNG’S Galaxy W sports a 7-inch 720p High Definition display, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor and 1.5GB RAM. As for on-board storage, it features 16GB expandable with a microSD memory card.

On the back is an 8MP camera with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, which is odd considering how most mobile devices released this year come with Android 4.4 KitKat. A 3,500mAh battery keeps the Galaxy W powered all day. For now, it is only available in South Korea.
