MALAYSIANS will get to see Pro-Net's next electric vehicle (EV) model very soon.
The smart #3 model is set to debut at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 which takes place from May 22-26.
Selected parties which includes the media, EV owners, and enthusiasts were very recently invited to Proton's test track in Subang Jaya, Selangor to preview the model.
Over the course of three days participants got to view the model as well as have a go with it on the test track. Not much can be revealed for now other than the smart #3 being an entirely different model with its own sensibilities.
While it maintains the thematic design found on the smart #1 the biggest difference is the new sports utility vehicle (SUV) Coupe language.
As a crossover of sorts it is slightly shorter at the rear given its coupe nature and is overall wider. The smart #3 is also much more planted as a result and pushes maneuverability performance a step up from the smart #1.
Designed by Mercedez-Benz's design head Kai Saiber the smart #3 is a iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award winner.
What else that we can expect it shares with the smart #1 is the model's availability in three variants which includes the Pro, Premium and Brabus.
smart Malaysia chief executive officer Zhang Qiang said the brand was committed to delivering a top-notch ownership experience and an advanced ecosystem tailored to the needs of today's smart buyers.
This includes the paired benefit with the Hello smart App and an extensive charging and dealer network that is designed to cater to the preferences of its customers.

The model will be at Hall A2 at MAEPS, Serdang during the Malaysia Autoshow 2024.
