KUALA LUMPUR: When Korean music icon G-Dragon first announced his ACTIII, M.O.T.T.E world tour back in April, Malaysia wasn't on the list of his 19 stops.

But local fans can stop pouting now, because concert organiser IME Productions will be bringing the global superstar down to Malaysia for a show.

G-DRAGON 2017 WORLD TOUR ACTIII, M.O.T.T.E is set to be held on Sept 16 at 7.30pm at Stadium Merdeka.

Stay tuned to IME Productions' Facebook page (IME Asia), Twitter (IMEproduction) or Instagram (IME_Asia) for further details.

The world tour, the title of which is the acronym for “Moment of Truth The End", is G-Dragon's third, and is said to be the largest tour ever conducted by a Korean male solo artiste.

According to his label YG Entertainment, the concert will be presented as a trilogy which tells the life story of 30-year-old G-Dragon, who has spent a majority of his life in the limelight.

The rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer began his career as a child star before training for years to become the leader of BigBang in 2006, before going solo and becoming the biggest-selling Korean artiste in history.

"(The concert) illustrates the artiste's honest moments, depicting his fancy and successful lifestyle as well as his struggles in solitude and torment," YG Entertainment said in a statement.

ACTIII, M.O.T.T.E kicked off on June 10 with a concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, attended by approximately 40,000 fans and for which ticket sales had sold out within eight minutes of release.

Other tour stops include venues in North America, Australia, Asia as well as one in Auckland, New Zealand.

The tour closely follows the release of G-Dragon's second EP, whose title ‘Kwon Ji Yong’ references the artiste's real name.

The tour may be his last before he heads off for his military enlistment next year.
