KUALA LUMPUR: Actress and comedienne Angeline Tan denies rumours that she is now pregnant, as alleged in a viral TikTok post recently.
In a news report today, the 57-year-old artiste said it was just unfounded rumours and she herself questioned why the irresponsible social media entry was even created.
"It's not true. Fake news. I have no idea who created this lie.
"Why did this person even bother to create such a false news," Tan was quoted in the report.
Meanwhile, her actor-director spouse Sabri Yunus, 63, found the "news" amusing.
In a Facebook entry responding to it, Sabri wrote: "This is the funniest day in the last 60 days. The funniest slander which had gone viral ever in my life.
"Whoever started this, don't you feel guilty or even think that it's a sin to slander people?
"And whoever believed it without finding out the truth, don't you feel the same?
"It's just a little tiresome having to explain to friends who kept asking us about it," he said.
Tan and Sabri married on Oct 13, last year.
