KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian-born Hong Kong actress Jacquelin Ch'ng shocked fans in November 2022 when she ended her two-year marriage with Taiwanese businessman Brian Yang.

Back then, she cited several reasons for the divorce including never having the upper hand in her marriage and long-distance challenges.

In a recent interview with HK01, Ch'ng, 43, reflected on her shortcomings that contributed to her split from Yang.

The TVB star mentioned that she used to be impulsive and short-tempered, which annoyed her ex-husband.

However, she has learnt to express herself better now.

Ch'ng also cited conflicting worldviews as another reason for her divorce.

According to the actress, she and her ex-husband had very different views on issues facing the world, which put a strain on their marriage.

"When looking for someone to be with, the most important thing is to have common world views," she said.

Ch'ng tied the knot with Yang in March 2020.

Despite being married, the pair lived separately – with Ch'ng staying in Hong Kong to pursue her acting career and Yang returning to Taiwan to handle his bubble tea business.
