KUALA LUMPUR: Singer and actor Aliff Aziz's mother Siti Hafiza Basharahil has called on his fans to "pray for the best" in his on-going divorce proceedings at the Federal Territories Syariah Court.

Aliff has refused to divorce his wife Bella Astillah who filed for divorce last March 11.

Siti Hafiza urged fans of Aliff to support him morally by doing positive things on the last 10 days of Ramadan.

"Ramadan has only 10 days left. Let us all support Aliff by doing only positive things and by praying for his well-being and success," she said in an interview with Harian Metro today.

Siti Hafiza also declined to comment on "negative developments" such as her decision to unfollow Bella on Instagram.

She also urged fans of Aliff not to compare her with Datin Patimah Ismail the former mother-in-law of actress Puteri Sarah Liyana who got along with her even after her divorce from actor and director Syamsul Yusof.

The court today decided that a reconciliation committee be formed to help Aliff and Bella salvage their marriage.

The reconciliation process will begin on June 4.

Aliff and Bella were married on Sept 9, 2016 and they have two children Ayden Adrean and Ara Adreanna.
