KUALA LUMPUR: Indonesian actress, Sandra Dewi will be brought to court on charges of corruption and embezzlement involving her husband, Harvey Moeis.
Indonesia's anti-corruption agency made a report to the authorities claiming that Sandra was also involved in the scandal after receiving funds from her husband's business through dubious sources.
According to various reports from the Indonesian media, the authorities need to investigate whether Sandra knows where her husband got the money from.
"Sandra often buys luxury branded goods and she bought a private jet," explained the agency's representative.
If convicted, Sandra could receive a prison sentence of five years or a fine of RM298,003.
Earlier, Sandra's private jet and Roll Royce luxury car were confiscated by the authorities for investigation purposes.
The two vehicles were gifts from her husband in conjunction with Sandra's birthday.
On March 27, Harvey was arrested by the authorities on allegations of corruption and misappropriation of money in his company.
