KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Norman Hakim expressed his uneasiness with his ex-wife Abby Abadi's openness in sharing stories on social media about their daughter, Marissa Dania Hakim, which include podcasts.

Hi admonition was conveyed through comments posted on Abby's Instagram (IG) uploads, where he asked his ex-wife to be more rational in dealing with the issue.

"Istighfar bok (Abby) ... Keep calm. The more you write, the more misunderstandings there will be.

"I never once washed my hands of it. We'll talk after this, iftar together later. There's no need to share everything with the whole country," wrote Norman.

In the lengthy post, Abby, whose real name is Arbaiyah Abdul Manan, expressed frustration claiming that what she shared was being twisted by many parties.

Meanwhile, the dispute between the two celebrities received various responses from netizens.

One of them defended Abby's actions while advising Norman to be a more responsible father.

"She has the right to write because she's the biological mother, but she's being sidelined so much so her child wants to break fast with her stepmother, and the stepmother doesn't know.

"You as a father should play your role," he wrote.

Meanwhile, an Instagram user suggested that Norman should just delete his comment to prevent the situation from getting worse.

"You still have time to delete the post. Which family doesn't have their own issues and stories?

"Enough of keeping the story on social media. Let the father, mother, and children deal with it. Insya-Allah," he said.
