KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Norman Hakim, 48, has apologised to his ex-wife, Abby Abadi, 46, for the wrong he had done to her throughout their marriage.
Norman will also take responsibility for the secret marriage of their daughter, Marissa Dania Hakim, 19, to a married man with two children in Thailand on Dec 27 last year.
The apology was made in the comments section of one of Abby's shared posts on his Instagram account recently, according to a Harian Metro report today.
"Ok, sorry for the umpteenth time, for all the weaknesses, mistakes and wrongs done. I take responsibility for all of this as if it's all my fault.
"As I said, God-willing, I will do my best. I would rarely want to comment in public but I don't have access to contact you.
"Dania sends her best wishes to you. Pray for the best," he wrote.
Previously, Abby had expressed her disappointment on social media about the revelation of Marissa becoming the second wife of a married man via an unexpected marriage they were not privy to.
She claimed that she was particularly irked by entertainment portals that caused more confusion on the matter by embellishing and exaggerating the details.
However, Abby also confirmed Marissa's marriage to a man named Aslam in an exclusive interview with an entertainment portal that recently went viral.
Following that, Norman told his ex-wife in the comments section to stop sharing her opinions openly on the whole issue on social media.
A brewing argument between the two in the comments section served to attract the attention of netizens who mostly sympathised with the challenging situation faced by Abby due to the whole fiasco with Marrisa's marriage.
In January, Marissa became the talk of the town after it was alleged that she had quietly married her husband, Aslam in Songkhla, Thailand without Norman and Abby's knowledge.
The marriage of the young couple, who were believed to have been in love for a long time, was also not known by Aslam's first wife, Misya Mazlan, who was performing Umrah in Makkah at the time.
Abby and Norman tied the knot in 2002 and are blessed with three children, namely Mohd Danish Hakim, Marissa Dania Hakim and Maria Danisha Hakim. They divorced in 2008.
Norman then married actress Memey Suhaiza in 2011 and has three children with her, while Abby wedded Muhammad Faizal Zakaria in 2015.
