KUALA LUMPUR: The Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) will not compromise in the recent raid involving celebrities Aliff Aziz and Ruhainies .

Harian Metro reported yesterday that the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said that the department was preparing the investigation report on the raid at a condominum here last Saturday.

"An investigation will be carried out following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of Jawi's Enforcement Division.

"Jawi has yet to complete the report, which will be given to the Federal Territories Syariah Prosecution Department (Japens) for the next step," said Na'im.

He said this in response to allegations that Jawi was seen as delaying the prosecution process, seeing that the case involved public figures.

Earlier, Na'im was also reported as denying that the raid was merely a promotional stunt for the drama series in which both artistes were currently filming.
