KUALA LUMPUR: Actress Puteri Sarah Liyana is adamant in suing a marketing officer identified as Nazatul Nazira for making slanderous statements against her.
In a Harian Metro report today, the 38-year-old artiste said: "Being accused of taking illicit drugs is her most malicious statement made against me."
"So I'll proceed with this lawsuit, just so I could clear my tarnished reputation," explained Puteri Sarah of the legal redress with compensation amounting to RM1 million.
"On the day she appeared on Melodi, accusing me of taking drugs, I even went for a urine test so that I can prove her wrong," she said, adding that she and representatives had also given Nazatul some time to come and discuss with her before they went to court.
"We had given her ample time, since December, for her to settle all the problems.
"And yet, she didn't even respond to our WhatsApp messages nor answered any of our calls, before finally letting us know that she had no intention of meeting up with any of us," she said.
