KUALA LUMPUR: Die-hard Ed Sheeran fans will be wondering about one thing ahead of the Grammy award-winning singer's concert here tomorrow night: What will he be doing during his down time before and after the concert?

The "Thinking Out Loud" hitmaker, who celebrated his 33rd birthday last Saturday, has been making a point to soak in the sights, sounds and culture of every stopover on his Asian-leg of the international +-=÷x (Mathematics) Tour.

Yesterday, the singer posed a question via a video on the PR Worldwide Instagram asking about what he could do in Kuala Lumpur.

"What's up Malaysia. I'm coming back to play KL on the Feb 24. Hit me up with some recommendations on what to do there. I can't wait to be back in your beuatiful city," he said in a post which received more than 2,500 likes and more than 100 comments.

Social media users offered suggestions ranging from the adventurous to the whimsical. Some of them invited Sheeran to travel out of the federal capital to Sabah, Sarawak Perak, Penang, Pahang and Johor for some rest and relaxation.

Most of the comments, however, urged him to try some of Malaysians' favourite food.

"You must try all these foods: Nasi Lemak, Char Kuey Teow, Roti Canai, Nasi Kerabu, Satay and a lot more because our Malaysia Food is the best in the world!" said Yidekeee on Instagram.

Luluindelulu said the singer should do the typical Malaysian thing by dining at a Mamak restaurant.

"Late night lepak at Mamak! Can't wait to watch you this 24th!!"

Syadiapawsed said nasi lemak should be on top of his list since the dish is synonymous with Malaysia.

"Definitely have a good nasi lemak! I know you can handle the spice haha. Then maybe have some roti canai. Walk around Bukit bintang at night. Or you can check the new mall TRX Exchange, buy some sneakers," she said.

Addeyadelene said: "Go and have nasi kandar, geng! But preferably after your show, just in case."

Social media user irdinaswift13 offered to introduce to cendol.

"Lets eats cendol at Taman Melawati. It's really delicious .. I can bring you there hehe."

Another netizen vmt1103 reminded Sheeran that it was still the Chinese New Year season, so he should try some festive delicacies.

"It's the Chap Goh Mei (Chinese Valentine a.k.a. Last Day of the Chinese New Year) weekend.

"You best enjoy a Yee Sang toss. Would invite you over to dine with us, but you go wow your concert. Then after that, have Bak Kut Teh (Herbal Pork Soup) or hang out at a Mamak) :-)."

Others gave out detailed ideas for a walking tour to landmarks such as KLCC and the newly-opened TRX Exchange.

"Okay, so places (to go): Pasar Seni, Rex KL, walk to MRT Pasar Seni, go to TRX, do batik painting at Jadi Batek on Jalan Inai, walk to Pavilion and then KLCC through the walkway, show him the skatepark on Ampang park," said @suhailasallahudin.
