KUALA LUMPUR: The recent wedding reception of Bruneian prince Pengiran Muda Abdul Mateen Bolkiah and aristocrat businesswoman Pengiran Anak Isteri Dayang Anisha Rosnah has been celebrated by Malaysian netizens.

Netizens were delighted to learn that the newlyweds chose songs by five popular Malaysian artistes to be performed by the Radio Televisyen Brunei Orchestra as well as the Brunei Armed Forces, Police and Culture, Youth and Sports Ministry musicians at their wedding reception in Istana Nurul Iman, Bandar Seri Begawan last Sunday.

The five Malaysian songs were Dia by Datuk Sheila Majid, Sedetik Lebih by Anuar Zain, Di Akhir Garisan by Ziana Zain, Kau Ilhamku by Man Bai and Pandang Pandang Jeling Jeling by Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza and the late Tan Sri S.M. Salim.

They were among the 28 songs which were performed at the wedding reception.

Netizens especially loved Sedetik Lebih and Kau Ilhamku which they felt were very suitable for the royal couple's "fairy tale" wedding.

Pengiran Abdul Mateen is the 10th of Brunei ruler Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's 12 children.
