SINGAPORE: Anntonia Porsild, a model of Thai-Danish descent clinched second place at the 72nd Miss Universe competition recently.
Anntonia, 27, is the girlfriend of Singaporean football player Irfan Fandi, the eldest son of the country's football legend, Fandi Ahmad.
Irfan, 26, took to his InstaStory to express a heartfelt message to Anntonia to celebrate her success.
"No words can describe how proud I am of you! You are amazing. The queen of my heart! I love you @porxild," he wrote alongside a stunning picture of his girlfriend.
Anntonia also posted on Instagram to express her gratitude for the support she received throughout the competition.
"I gave my all on the stage tonight for Thailand, for everyone who believed in me and has been a part of my journey.
"I apologise for not bringing home the crown, and I am very thankful for all the love and support I have received throughout this journey. Without your support, I would not be standing here today," she wrote.
She also pledged to work towards fulfilling her dreams and aspires to motivate those who want to pursue their dreams.
