KUALA LUMPUR: A recent Nielsen and Consumer & Media View (CMV) survey has indicated that the brands under Media Prima Audio (MPA) have reached a total of over 5.5 million weekly listeners.

The survey was conducted from July 2022 to June 2023 and based on Pass Week Listenership (individuals 15 years and above in Peninsular Malaysia).

Once again, Hot FM has maintained its position as the No.1 radio station in Malaysia.

During the survey duration, the Malay-language radio station recorded a total of 3.73 million loyal listeners.

Hot FM has organised various campaigns and awards, such as Hot Hulur Wang Sama Pendengar (HWSP), where winners received a cash prize of RM300,000, as well as Anugerah TerHot, Hot FM Last Beat and Piknik Hot in various locations.

On Oct 26, Hot FM took the initiative to introduce new members for the HotFlix segment with Ayu and Aidil Fikri.

Aidil Fikri is the first Malay-language AI DJ in Malaysia.

Additionally, Fly FM has also maintained its position as the No.2 English-language radio station in Malaysia.

The survey showed that it had 2.11 million daily listeners.

Fly FM has also found success with various campaigns, including Code Breaker, RnB Flydays x DJs Playground and the introduction of the first AI radio DJ in Malaysia, Aina.

Kool 101, which was formerly known as Buletin FM, has also launched various campaigns to get close with the people.

With a total of 192,000 listeners, Kool 101 has successfully attracted listeners to stay tuned for current and social issues.

8FM has also been rebranded as Eight FM. Campaigns held by the radio station have gained listener support, especially with 592,000 listeners tuning in.

Meanwhile, Hot FM recently organised a Doa Selamat to express gratitude to listeners for its successes by sharing the joy with orphans from Rumah Cahaya Kasih Kota Damansara to liven up the event.

Hot FM radio presenters, including DJ KJ, Fara Fauzana, AG, Keymi, Aisha, and Ayu, were actively involved.

Adding to the festive atmosphere were local artists such as Alif Satar, Faizal Tahir, Amir Masdi, Amin Idris, Fakhrul of UNIC and Killa Driz.

MPA also took the opportunity to pray for our brethren in Palestine who are struggling.

MPA also extended an opportunity for listeners to contribute financially by making a direct transfer to Bank Muamalat 1410 0008 844715 (Media Prima Palestinian Humanitarian Fund) with the reference Hot FM.

MPA CEO Nazri Noran said, "We always seek innovation for each station to improve content and satisfy listeners."

"I also express my gratitude and thousands of thanks to our listeners for their support in faithfully listening to Media Prima Audio radios.

"Not forgetting our partners who have helped and supported us a lot from the beginning. Without you, we wouldn't be here to experience being the No.1 radio station in Malaysia," he said.
