KUALA LUMPUR: American singer-songwriter Usher was so blown away by sensational K-Pop group BlackPink's concert that he incorporated certain elements to spice up his residency in Las Vegas.

According to Soompi, the 44-year-old award-winning R&B and pop artiste shared his thoughts on the female quartet in a recent interview with GQ magazine.

The Nice & Slow hitmaker had experienced his first BlackPink concert in Atlanta last year when he attended the show with his two teenage sons.

He was apparently wowed by the experience and raved about the group's performance, choreography, and storytelling.

"They were putting on a great show, from the wardrobe to great sequencing, with the lighting and everything working in sync.

"No detail was spared and I loved that," he said.

Usher added that he took notes on BlackPink's attention to detail and high standards of excellence and incorporated the spirit of that into his Las Vegas residency.

"I really wanted to give women something to look forward to, something to come here to Las Vegas with their friends for.

"They come out and really enjoy themselves for the entire weekend. They want to be able to really get away and have an experience," he said.

Usher's residency, dubbed Usher: My Way, is now running at the Dolby Live within Park MGM until July and will resume in October.

BlackPink's Born Pink world tour, which began last year, is currently experiencing a break this month.

The Asian leg to the large-scale tour will then continue with a show at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, here on March 4.
