KUALA LUMPUR: Big Bang's member T.O.P is reportedly travelling into space next year.

In a recent allkpop report, the 35-year-old rapper whose real name is Choi Seung-hyun will join the Japanese billionaire and entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa in the eight-member #dearMoon project.

Although no official announcement from both the artiste and entrepreneur has been made yet, Netizens and fans of the rapper are thrilled to hear the news.

A fan commented: "Wow, I'm envious actually. I want to go too."

"He really does everything he wants to. He said he wanted to make wine a long time ago during a fan meeting and he really made wine. And now he's going to space," responded another.

The mission to be led by Maezawa is in partnership with Elon Musk's SpaceX.

In 2018, Maezawa announced that he planned on leading the first-ever civilian mission to the Moon with his #dearMoon project sometime in 2023.

Maezawa revealed that the selection of his companions would be based on talented and influential individuals from around the world who could contribute to the human race.
