KUALA LUMPUR: The much beloved Malaysian animated series Ejen Ali will return for the third season and set to debut exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on June 25.

Co-produced by Disney+ Hotstar, Primeworks Studios and WAU Animation, this season will see Ejen Ali (voiced by Ida Rahayu Yusoff) and the young Ejens from MATA Academy reunite for a secret competition at the MATA Arena.

As Ali strives to honour his late mother's legacy and become the MATA Arena champion, he must grapple with life without the supercomputer device IRIS amidst intense competition from highly-skilled International Ejens.

As the competition progresses, a secret plot to disrupt MATA and gain control over the futuristic city of Cyberaya will come to light.

"We are thrilled to be able to work with our talented friends at WAU Animation to share the latest installment of the hugely popular Ejen Ali franchise with Disney+ Hotstar audiences across the region," said Datuk Ahmad Izham Omar, The Walt Disney Company's Head of Content & Creative, South-East Asia & Indonesia.

"The addition of this much beloved franchise is the latest step in our ongoing mission to seek and out and share the very best local stories with a global audience, and we look forward to showcasing what's in store for Ali and the other Ejens when the series debuts exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar later this month."
